Donation supports youth development and healthy living across south-central Nebraska

Holdrege, Nebraska – energyRe, a leading developer of reliable and affordable energy solutions, today announced a $5,000 donation to the Don Sjogren Community YMCA in Phelps County. The contribution reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting organizations that provide essential services to families and communities across the region and help individuals and families thrive.
The Don Sjogren Community YMCA serves more than 3,200 members from more than 30 communities in south-central Nebraska. The Holdrege branch moved into its 40,000-square-foot facility in 2006 and continues to serve the region through programs focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
“The YMCA is here to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for children, families, and individuals of all ages to grow, connect, and lead healthy lives,” said Joel Pelster, Branch Executive Director of the Don Sjogren Community YMCA. “We are grateful for energyRe’s support and its investment in the people and programs that make our work possible.”
The donation will help support the YMCA’s broader mission of nurturing potential, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility in Holdrege and the surrounding communities it serves.
“The YMCA plays an important role in building a stronger community by investing in people at every stage of life,” said Patrick Moore, Development and Community Partnerships Manager at energyRe. “energyRe is proud to support the Don Sjogren Community YMCA, an organization that creates real, lasting value for families across this region.”
