Temple Solar
Installed capacity of 113 megawatts
Project overview
Temple Solar will be located in Jackson County, Oklahoma. The project will contribute reliable, clean energy to the regional grid, strengthening Oklahoma’s energy independence and preserving agricultural land for future generations. The project is sited on private land and is designed to be fully compatible with local farming operations and Altus Air Force Base mission requirements.
Local Economic Benefits
This facility will support the local economy by creating jobs during construction and contributing new tax revenue to Jackson County.
Renewable Energy Technology

Good Neighbor
Temple Solar will strictly adhere to all local ordinance requirements, including setbacks, fencing and adequacy of vegetative buffering and screening.

No Risk to Groundwater
Solar projects pose no risk of groundwater contamination, and because solar is a fuel-free resource, there will be no air emissions. Full decommissioning ensures the land can be used for agriculture after the project at the end of its useful life. In fact, soil health is often much better on former solar land because of less stress on the soil year after year.

Decommissioning
When the project is ready to be shut down, the panels are removed at no cost to the taxpayer or county government. The cost of removal is insured by the company and the land is immediately suitable for farming. Oklahoma’s decommissioning requirements ensure the project site is fully restored within six months of end of life, with financial assurance in place to cover all removal and reclamation costs.
Community First
Temple Solar is designed to be a long-term partner to Jackson County, providing clean power and a flexible site that can be returned to agricultural use at the end of the project's life.
