Barn Perch Solar will be located in Granville County, North Carolina. The project will invest nearly $4.1 million into the community, produce reliable and affordable local energy while preserving agricultural land for future generations.

energyRe is committing to a $1.4 million Community Benefits agreement that will invest in critical local services such as the local Fire District, Food Bank and Workforce development programs.

Good Neighbor
The Barn Perch Solar Project will strictly adhere to all local ordinance requirements, including setbacks, fencing and adequacy of vegetative buffering and screening.

Decommissioning
When the Project is complete, the panels are removed at no cost to the taxpayer or county government. The cost of removal is insured by the company and the land is immediately suitable for farming.

Barn Perch Solar will generate millions of dollars in tax revenue over the life of the project. In addition, energyRe has committed to a $1.4 million Community Benefit Agreement that will invest in a host of critical services for the county, including:
- First Responders Fund for the Fire Districts' training and equipment
- The Granville Conservation Fund to preserve rural character
- The Vance Granville Community College Job Training programs
- Local playground improvements
- The local food bank
